Meet Dr. Pam Her
Dr. Pafoua (Pam) Her is a former executive leader with experience in corporate, government, and non-profit sectors. She is the CEO and owner of 4Chi Business Solutions, LLC, and a consultant, trainer, and thought leader for various corporations, government agencies, and non-profits. Her expertise includes cultural competency, talent management (recruitment and retention), organizational leadership and development, and strategic planning. Dr. Her has also taught management, marketing, entrepreneurship, business ethics, sales, and professional communication as an adjunct professor at Rasmussen College. She earned her PhD with distinction in Business/Organizational Management from Capella University, where she completed her dissertation on Asian Women Managers and Microaggressions in the Workplace.
Dr. Her serves on several boards dedicated to addressing poverty, health and human services, professionals of color, cultural preservation, and the arts.
She has advised the Wisconsin State Supreme Court on judicial interpreters, as well as the Wisconsin Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Justice, and various local and state governments on issues related to refugees, immigrants, and communities of color. She has also mediated conflict resolution at local, state, and national levels, focusing on municipalities and communities of color, and provided guidance on recruiting and retaining talent for economic development organizations.
Dr. Her has delivered over 400 presentations, trainings, and keynote addresses on topics including cultural competency, intercultural communication, microaggressions, authentic leadership, community engagement, and double consciousness. In 2020, Dr. Her was named one of Wisconsin’s 48 Most Influential Asian American Leaders by Madison 365. Other recognitions include the Rasmussen College Exceptional Educator Award, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity in Diversity Award, and Wisconsin Community Action Program’s Exceptional Volunteer Advocate Award.
